I’m convinced Nimisha waves a magic wand to create elevated brand experiences and chic websites like this one for NYC-based physician, Dr. Amanda Kahn.

Dr. Amanda Kahn by Minchki Studio

When Nimisha from Minchki Studio emails me, I know something cool is coming, and this one was no exception. (Maybe it was because the subject read: DEAR MY FAVE DEVELOPER…)

This was a redesign project for Dr. Kahn, who had outgrown her previous Squarespace website. She needed her website to reflect the elevated experience that Dr. Kahn provides her patients in her private NYC medical practice.

Nimisha is always really clear about design goals for her sites. So, this project was less about building an exact replica of her design mockups and more about achieving those design goals.

For this project, we focused on heightening the user experience with dynamic page layouts, simple custom sections, and showcasing the dynamic branding (also done by Minchki Studio).

I love it when JavaScript plugins are as easy on the eyes as they are to work with.

Thanks to Schwartz-Edmisten, this smooth logo marquee is essential for establishing that authority right out of the gate with a hearty collection of past clients or media attention.

It’s so easy to add more logos that your clients won’t even know it’s a super fancy, special feature.

We played with 3 columns, icons, and color gradients in this sticky list section.

Mockup v. Website

This isn’t our first DEV SESSION! Nimisha and I have collaborated a bunch, and have a shorthand in our design/dev process. This project was less about matchy-matchy between mockup and website, and more about using the mockup as a starting point (and communication tool) for this Squarespace resdesign project.
