DEV SESSION | DEV DAY 2.0 | OFFICE HOUR | 2024

After a decade of high-level strategy and design for veterinary brands, Danielle decided to broaden her golden touch to founders across industries. She rebranded and brought her Wordpress website to a whole new Squarespace presence.

Danielle needed a that could the exact right founders across industries. She brought an arsenal packed with her brand identity, and put her trust in me fully to bring her wildest dev dreams to life.

Danielle and her team hadn’t work with Squarespace before, so they entrusted me to guide them on how their big brand vision would translate into the new platform. Needless to say, we made some very happy discoveries along the way.

Feature Spotlight

Card Flip Hover Section

Danielle brought a theme and encouraged me to lean in as I developed her design.

After testing a few methods, I opted to build out this combination gallery section with a 3D transform effect added on the hover state to capture her theme.

This simple coded section maximizes her branded assets adding a fun, responsive interaction for the user experience.

Meet Danielle K. Lambert

Founder, Business & Marketing Strategist

Danielle does not make it a secret that our collab is one based on golden retriever vibes and emotional support development for her growing personal brand.

Feature Spotlight

Interactive Timeline

A vertical timeline in Squarespace is a common, though pretty advanced, request.

Danielle supplied the copy and custom icons for, Rache from Squarestylist provided the base technique, and I hunkered down in the CSS window until this effect was perfected and responsive for Danielle’s Lucky Break offer sale page.

Mockup v. Website

The collaboration of Dev Days start with the designer’s mockup. Take a look at the relationship between developer and designer through this mockup and website comparison.

Danielle of Danielle K. Lambert

“Kacey is a web development angel. I talked to them about the sales page they’re building me today, and their golden retriever energy wore off on me. And, thanks to Kacey’s valiant efforts, my domain drama is over and my website is actually live. YESSSSS.”

Feature Spotlight

Sticky List Section

This simple sticky section is so effective, that it’s requested on almost every sales page.

What’s cool is that Squarespace’s built in list section feature means that there’s lots of flexibility to make even every sticky section your own.

Credit for the base code goes to Rache at Squarestylist, but the tinkering and perfecting is all me.
